Jacob and Brandon

We had the chance to take Brandon's friend Jacob home from school the other day, and boy was that fun! They were having the BEST time taking pictures of themselves and making some funny videos. They crack me up!

Daisy for a day

Brandon was able to join the girl scouts for a special snowman craft. They meet every Wednesday in his classroom, right after school. Brandon and I were still there at that time, so he was lucky enough to participate in the fun.

Homework

Brandon is so good about doing his homework. He is super smart and can read all the directions by himself. Every Wednesday night he reminds me, "Mom! Homework is due tomorrow!"What an awesome kid I have!

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday afternoon the whole family went to Grandpa's for a HUGE meal. Brandon had so much fun with his favorite person on the planet...AUNT JULIE! Here I am being silly! (like usual) ;)
Everyone joined in for some crazy Karaoke! We sang and danced for HOURS!

These two were awesome!

The next day we made our way over to Nana and Papa John's for another amazing meal. Brandon helped with making the fruit cocktail, yams, and the potatoes this year. Way to go Chef Brandon!

He also put the finishing touches on the tables. Just perfect!

We spent some time down at the beach taking pictures. I just love this one of Lily.

That night the cousins had some fun playing "cops" with Aunt Julie. They all looked so serious in their shades.

Except Magoo. ;)
Aunt Julie is such a fun person. All the kids adore her (and all of the adults do too!) Thank you for such a fun weekend Julie! You're the BEST!

Friendship Feast with Stone Soup!

Today was the kindergarten "Friendship Feast!" Brandon was ready to EAT!
In centers this week the kids made cute "Thankful" hats. On paper leaves they wrote three things that they were thankful for. Brandon's hat said "I am thankful for... my mom, my dad and ME!" Who isn't thankful for him?! ;)
London, Brandon and Sarah.

The day before, each student helped to make a special soup by adding something to the pot. Carrots, onions, peas, green beans, potatoes, tomatoes and a beef bone were just some of the many ingredients. A stone was even put into this mixture. (It was well washed before hand!) They had been reading a book entitled "Stone Soup," and this concoction was modeled after the soup in the story. So fun!

Most of the kids liked the soup. Brandon loved it!
I LOVE being there to help out. What a lucky mommy I am.
I think that all of the kids had a "souper" fun day!

Soccer Pizza Party

Another soccer season has come and gone. The Hotwheels were a great team! We celebrated at The Pizza Factory. The kids had a great time! For two seasons now Brandon and Brie have been on the same soccer team. Not only are these two on the same team, they also have primary and dance class together. They are good buddies.

Sumners 10th annual walk-a-thon!

Here is Brandon stretching for the big walk-a-thon. It was so much fun!Brandon, London and Victoria.

Before they started walking, the kids got to see a fire truck from the LA county fire department. Mrs. Wallace had the opportunity to climb up the very tall latter! She made it all the way to the top! Wow!

They walked for a whole hour!

He did 47 laps! Awesome work pal!
Happy, tired kids!
I made the mistake of rewarding Brandon with a double scoop of rainbow sherbet. He said it made his tummy hurt. :( Oops.
