more fun summer stuff

Brandon and Lily love to feed the fish with their Nana.
Thank you Aunt Angie for the fabulous hair style!

Playing DSI in his favorite chair at Panera Bread.
Top down at the beach. Nothing better. :)
Thank you Uncle Greg for the awesome kite!

All ready to go Kayaking!
These kids are always in the pool. Our summer is almost over but it has been a blast!

Fourth of July and Arizona Trip!

We had a fantastic Fourth of July! Here is Brandon on a boat ride. Newport Beach was PACKED that weekend! Apparently everyone else knows how fun it is to spend the 4th on the water!
Here is Brandon on his decorated bike. Every year the residents of Balboa Peninsula have a little parade and anyone can join in the fun. That thing on his nose is a red jewel. He wanted to wear it in the parade. Should I be scared?
After the parade everyone had a BBQ in the park. We spent the day just hanging out on the beach with friends and family. (Julie and John were here for the weekend so that made it EXTRA fun!) That night we took a boat ride and saw fireworks over the water. Our little boat almost ran out of power, so it made for an interesting and very exciting night!
Playing his DSI. His favorite toy in the world.
Brandon and I spent a week in Arizona so that he could get in some good quality time with his dad. We were able to see our friends Amanda and Oliver a few times while there. Brandon and Oliver have such a great time together.

We saw some ducks at the park and decided that they needed some goldfish crackers. They loved 'em!
Amanda was brave! Those ducks were eating right out of her hand!
We saw a "Desert Animals" show at the library. It was GREAT! Brandon liked the big turtle but not the tarantula or scorpions.
While we stayed at John and Julie's for the week, we decided to use their amazing blender. I took Brandon to the store and told him he could pick out a few candies and then we would make shakes with them. He chose Swedish Fish, Starburst, M&M's, Kit Kat and Gummie Bears. I couldn't believe that Julie's blender actually could blend up all those candies. That is one fantastic blender! Brandon had a great time tasting all the different shakes. His favorite was the Swedish Fish shake. ;)

What has Brandon been up to?

He has been spending countless hours in the pool and sprinklers,
having fun days at the park,
enjoying the Monrovia Street Fair,

spending time with family,
hanging out with Lily at build-a-bear,

and eating lots of yummy treats! That is what this six year old has been doing for the past couple weeks. WE LOVE SUMMER! :)

Last week of school!

Something fun was planned for each day of the last week of school. On Monday it was "Sports Day," Tuesday was "Share Day," Wednesday was "Celebrating Summer Birthday's," and Thursday was "Blast of To Summer Day." Wow! What a full and fun week it has been! THIS is what Brandon brought to school for his "share" on Tuesday. It was a HIT! (and yes, we had to bring the blue water to demonstrate!)
Here are Brandon and London on Wednesday, celebrating all of the summer birthday's. London and Mrs. K both have birthday's that fall in the summer. It was a great day of celebration! I made Mrs. K some chocolate flowers for her birthday. Each student got one to take home!
Here they are on their very last day of kindergarten. They enjoyed ice cream will all the fixin's! It was a great day. This year has been amazing. I know that Brandon and London had the best time being together in class. They will remember it always (at least I hope they will)! They are very best friends and I'm sure they will stay that way for a very long time...hopefully for forever. After school it was time for London and Brandon's "Summer Kick Off Party!" Their entire class was invited and many of them came. It was a super fun time in London's awesome backyard. The kids were swinging, singing, jumping, playing games and eating lots of yummy treats! It was the PERFECT way to end a fantastic school year. Bye-bye kindergarten...hello SUMMER! ;)
