Another tooth gone!

I can't believe that my little man's third tooth has come out already! He is getting so big, it's scary. After wiggling his tooth for days and days, he finally got brave enough to let me put dental floss around it and he pulled it out. It was so funny...he didn't even know that he had pulled it out. I saw it hit the floor and I said, "Look! There it is! You pulled it out!" He was such a happy and proud boy. After we put it under the pillow for the tooth fairy, a million questions came. "How small is the tooth fairy?" "What does she look like?" "How does she know I lost a tooth?" I explained it all in one word- "Magic!" The next morning Brandon was so excited to see that he had recieved $3.00 for his little shiny tooth. He can't wait for the next one!

birthday...

The big 31 came for me last week and it was wonderful. Not only did Mrs. K and her kindergarten class make it so very special, my sister Angie made the most AMAZING Twilight cake ever! Not only was it incredibly beautiful, but it tasted like heaven. I cannot say enough about Angie's talent. Girl, you're unbelieveable! Here are my little friends. They made me the cutest book with drawings of my favorite thing...gingerbread men! I love it so much and I will cherish it forever. They sang "Happy Birthday" to me and we enjoyed some yummy little cupcakes. Thank you Mrs. K for all you did to make it such a special day for me. ;) And for the Diet Coke!

A Fun Fun Friday!

Brandon had the most wonderfully sweet Valentine weekend. It began with a fun class party, filled with big buddies, heart cookies and lots of Valentine's! Here is Brandon and his big buddy Aaron.
Lots of love between these two!

On Saturday we met up with our friends the Lewis' and Debbie for a morning of painting ceramics at Color Me Mine. Brandon picked a cute little giraffe to paint, and boy did it look great when he was finished. We can't wait to pick it up in a few days!

That evening I was able to have the cousins over for a "Valentine cookie and Brownie Pop party." We made lots of goodies and ATE lots of goodies. ;)

What a great weekend for my little love bug Brandon. Love you B!

"butter" suckers anyone?

I wanted to make a special Valentine treat for all the cuties in Brandon's class, so I thought that homemade suckers would be a great idea. Well, my sister Angie (the queen of homemade suckers!) helped me to make these yummy little red numbers. For the first time we tried using real butter to grease the sucker "molds," not knowing that it would make the suckers taste like butter! Yikes! I didn't try one before hand and so as the kids were eating them in class I hear Brandon say, "Mom! This tastes like butter!" I was so embarrassed. All that hard work down the tubes. Oh well, next year I am BUYING suckers!

cupcake catastrophe

I made some chocolate cupcakes for one of the sweetest kindergarten friends in Brandon's class. I had them all ready to go on a pan in my car. Well, as I dropped off Brandon at Wendy's house that morning, Baxter their little white doggie, ran out of the house and into my car, and well needless to say this is how the cupcakes looked afterward. Yes, dog trampled cupcakes are always a hit, right?! To remmedy the problem, my wonderful sister went out and bought the yummiest donuts ever so that we would have something edible for our little birthday celebration. Thank you Wendy! I still owe you money! :) And I still love you Baxter!

"Making A Change" awards ceremony

The kindergarten students made a beautiful (and gigantic) poster/mural for the "Making A Change" contest. Well... they WON! A big perk of winning was that all of the kindergarten friends from Sumner-Danbury had the opportunity to attend the awards ceremony and sing their school song (which was what their winning poster was based on), and it was so precious. Here are Brandon and some of his friends at this fun evening.

Each kindergarten student was able to contribute to this masterpiece. My Brandon wrote the word "hand" on a section of the mural. What a beautiful job!

Blue Icee!

For Brandon and Lily, nothing is better than a blue Icee from Target. I don't think we have EVER been there without getting one. :)
